Day 7, and after a brief stay in Ho Chi Minh (more of that at a later date) we are now in Cambodia. We spent the day at the Angkor Temples taking in the breathtaking sights of Angkot Thom and Angkor Wat. Our private guide gave us a good tour of the temples however his english was a bit poor so we were only able to pick up some of the details. The temples are fantastic, jutting out of the jungle and sometimes becoming part of the jungle as the plants and trees take back the land. The only drawback was the crowds, we went especially early so at first it was quiet and serene, but by 10:00 AM the place was swamped with huge tours of Korean, Japanese and American tourists. At times you could hardly move it was so packed and the temples lost there magic and serenity.
